In the 18th century, one of the most intellectual biologists had made his way through scientific history. His name was Carl von Linn� a.k.a. Carolus �Carl� Linnaeus. Much like many other biologists this man began his studies at a young age. On May 23, 1707, Carolus Linnaeus was born. He was born in R�shult, a town in Sm�land, Sweden. As a child, Linnaeus had been groomed to be a priest like his father and maternal grandfather. His father, Nils Linnaeus, was also an avid gardener, which influenced Carolus into pursuing the study of plants.
