Catholic Religion Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
There are many types of religions in today’s world and it is hard for one person to know everything about all of them. By studying the history, as well as the present, of Catholicism, one can get a better understanding of how one religion is so alike, but yet, very different from other religions. Catholicism is a branch from Christianity and some of the beliefs are the same as many of the other branches and sects of Christianity, but a lot of their beliefs are different as well.
There were numerous religious sites located in the neighborhood, but I chose my local Knights of Columbia church. These churches are all over the world, and in my town I have four. I chose to go to the largest of them all that way I could get a better understanding of the place of worship. In the church there were many candles, crosses, and it even had a container at the entrance full of holly water. I was at the church for nearly four hours because I was able to witness two people being baptized and communion was taking place as well.
