According to the Education 326 Textbook, the Socialization process is an all encompassing educational process from which values, goals, beliefs, attitudes, and sex roles are acquired i.e. Socialization is nothing more than the educational process by which we learn everything, a lifelong process for which people are prepared to participate in society. From the moment we are born, the socialization process is part of our lives; its influence is felt through the family, school, religious institutions, and workplace. Each new generation of children learns the rights and wrongs, values and roles of the society into which it is born, primarily through socialization. In learning their role, children are socialized or taught how to meet the expectations placed upon them.
