Human had always moved one place to another, once they lived in an environment you knew really well, and then they moved to another new place which was unfamiliar, this is what we call immigration. Around 1850 to 1940 was the peak when the immigrants all over the world tried to live in America, and most of the immigrants were Chinese. The Chinese immigrants moved to certain places because of economic situations, religion, forced by war and extreme hardship. In 1850-1940, Chinese were oppressed cruelly by Americans because of those three reasons: Anti-Chinese feelings, Chinese exclusion act and the Angel Island. During 1970 the Chinese population in America was tripled due to the severe condition in China. After the Civil war, the soldiers worked as the farmers, miners or railway workers. Now there was trouble of overpopulation in jobs and the employers found the best workers who worked for long hours and low wages was Chinese.
