Beowulf vs. Achilles Just think, there are two towns in two different places and time periods with two different heroes, but with one very similar problem. That problem is a need of protection from harm and or death and a leader to show them through anything. These two towns needed a miracle and what came to save the day were heroes. Beowulf and Achilles were the knights in shinning armor for their people, but both had different ways in going about it and different intentions. Although Beowulf and Achilles are totally different people, both contain similar strengths and values that are worth considering. There are a few apparent similarities between Beowulf and Achilles. Those qualities are white, male, young, strong, aggressive, and independent. To better understand these traits one must individually look at the characters.
