Ku Klux Klan The Ku Klux Klan is a still present racist organisation in the Southern United States. It is also known as the Invisible Empire. The original Ku Klux Klan was established on December, 24th 1865 in Pulaski, Tennessee. The six founders were six officers who belonged to the Confederate States of America in the American civil war, their names were: Calvin E. Jones, John B. Kennedy, Frank O. McCord, John C. Lester, Richard R. Reed und James R. Crowe. In the first few months they had already recruited a few thousand members. The Klan's focus was mainly African Americans, they burned their houses, raped, kidnapped and killed them. The methods of the Klan to reach its aims were really cruel. In some areas the blacks were so afraid, that they hadn’t left there houses for some time. The Klan murdered many black people. They came in the night, took their victim to a secluded place and tortured him to death. After killing him they took his dead body and lied him down in front of his house. Then they wrote the three letters „K.K.K.“ on a place, where everyone could see......
