According to Webster’s Online Dictionary, discrimination is the “unfair treatment of a person or group on the basis of prejudice” (Webster’s Online Dictionary, 2007) and according to the U. S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) it is, “illegal to discriminate in any aspect of employment, including: hiring and firing; compensation, assignment, or classification of employees; transfer, promotion, layoff, or recall” (EEOC, 2004) and many other instances such as, “harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or age” (EEOC, 2004).
