As the lights powered off, a bright spotlight lit up the middle of the mat. I couldn�t believe the moment was actually here. It was my senior year, and I had made it to the regional championship. Four years of hard work, determination, and with a record of 44 and 3; I deserved to be on that wrestling mat. It was game time. I could feel the anticipation building. Then, the announcer proceeded to yell out names for the championship rounds of all the weight classes. The bleachers surrounding the gymnasium were jammed packed. They too, were awaiting the highly anticipated 2007�s regional competitors. Suddenly, my weight class, 189 approached. Thump, Thump, my heart began to pound continuously. Quickly, my focus was locked into preparing for the most important match of my career. The intercom roared, �And now at 189, senior from Broad Run High School, Zack Austin.� Next, I slowly jogged out to the center of the mat to shake my opponent�s hand. Reaching out for his hand, I could hear my family, teammates, and friends cheering me on. We shook hands and ran to our assigned......
