A couple of years ago I was required to read a book for work called The Ice Cream Maker. The book is about a scenario where the author uses an analogy of an owner of a ice cream company whose sales are failing and does not understand the quality of business and its concepts (Chowdhury, 2005). After reading this book I thought to myself how can I improve my quality for my company and how do I maintain my job security in an era of uncertainty with the economy? After I graduated in 1998 with my minor in business I have always wanted to return to school and earn my master�s in business administration (MBA). Currently I work for Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company as a Senior Sales Representative fortunately; I have an understanding manager who is backing up my decision to return to school. He also helped me qualify for tuition reimbursement that Lilly offers its employees. So deciding on pursuing an MBA was an easy decision to make.
