Entertainment and the vast number of components that fuel its existence in American society has been argued about and debated over for many years. There is such thing as informational television for all ages or video games geared toward the growth of young children�s minds and even fun card games played by the entire family; but all of these good uses for entertainment are shrouded by the dark side. Television, video games and gambling may be the leading cause of the debasement of society. Television was once a good thing the entire family could enjoy anytime of the day. Now, if the kids are not out of the room by seven o�clock their innocent little eyes may see things they should never witness until marriage. During primetime now a day there is not one program on that does not show or refer to something in a sexual manner. However, probably the biggest contribution to television�s fall was the introduction of pornography. It used to be a special thing that someone had to be rich or important to get their hands on it.
