Supreme Court declines to hear Enron case The article I have reviewed pertains to the Supreme Court�s decision not to hear the Enron case. �The Supreme Court dealt a blow Tuesday to Enron investors who sued major investment banks to recover money lost when the Texas energy giant collapsed amid a massive accounting fraud�(Associated Press). �When Enron filed for bankruptcy on December 2002, thousands of people lost their jobs� (Enron Fraud, 2007) and �more than $ 60 billion in market value and more than 2 billion in pension plans were lost.� (Associated Press) Enron�s managers and accounting firms were under scrutiny as investigators tried to piece together all the facts so they could try and understand how the energy giant was destroyed. A number of top Enron executives went on trial to answer allegations of bank, security, and wire fraud, money laundering, insider trading and making false statements to banks and auditors (Enron Fraud, 2007).
