Statement of the Problem Wayne Rooney is a rare footballing talent, being compared to the best in the world and achieving a great deal of success at a young age. However, at an early stage in his career it was clear that there was a major flaw to his game, his aggression. Wayne was just 17 when he experienced his first professional dismissal, when he came on as a substitute, and shortly later was sent off for two offences. In the 2003-04 premiership season Wayne, at just 17, received a staggering 12 yellow cards resulting in numerous bans and a resulting �bad boy� image in the media. It was actions such as shoving opponents, reckless challenges and foul mouthed behaviour that caused England manager at the time, Sven-Goran Eriksson, to substitute the teenager before halftime in a friendly against Spain to save him from being sent off.
