Fasting: The Life of A Muslim It is a hot, sunny day you are sweating under your arms, your forehead is dripping with sweat, and you are thirsty like a dried up desert, water is only a foot away but it is out of your reach. These are the typical days for Muslims in the month of Ramadan. During this month, Muslims practice the Fast of Ramadan. For the entire month, Muslims fast during the daylight hours and in the evening eat small portion of foods. Ramadan is a time of worship and contemplation, and also a time to strengthen family and community ties. As I entered through the immense brown wooden doors of the Mosque, I was immediately greeted by the aroma of a stingy cinnamon. The red carpet elaborately decorated with golden yellow patterns was endless throughout the building. The gold statues and pictures beamed light to the entire room. As I glanced around I saw children running around, women talking, men shaking hands and patting each other on the back. They all looked like regular people. However one thing that distinguished these people from others was how they were dressed......
