Introduction To start off with some people would not see creation myths as myths, some people would believe them to be true like religious leaders or followers. There are many accounts of creation myths from all parts of the world, some of them sound similar while others seem much different. According to Rudolf Bultmann, a German theologian scholar came up with the definition for myth as: the reality that myth represents is the ultimate reality presented in our original, internal, non-sensuous experience of ourselves, others, and the whole. In this essay I will examine a variety of creation myths and look at what extent are creation myths reconcilable with scientific accounts of creation. In other words I will be comparing religion against science. I will look at the conflict between the two and I will look at what the general and specific views on creation myths were.
