Pipes in the Sea �Pipes Hung in the Sea Could Help Planet �Heal Itself�� is an article based on an idea scientists have come up with to help solve the problem of global warming. The title of the article generally summarizes what the article itself is actually about. It is based on a simple concept of fertilization of the plankton in the top layers of the ocean. A letter in the journal called �Nature� written by Professor Lovelock and Dr. Rapley generally proposes the idea that the ocean could be helped in a way to take up a larger amount of carbon from our atmosphere through the fertilization plankton. The way this idea works is the placement of these large tubes in the ocean could allow more nutrient rich waters from the lower levels of the ocean to move to the surface and fertilize the plankton.
