The Boeing Company: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow On July 15, 1916, in a suburb of Seattle, Washington called Lake Union, William Edward Boeing created the ever successful Boeing Company producing more commercial aircrafts than any other airline manufacturer to date. Ever since William was a young man in his early 30�s, he was convinced that he could build a better aircraft. With this deep desire of air flight, Mr. Boeing also looked into missiles, rockets, helicopters, and space fields becoming a standard setter for flight and research and development. He had a dream about air travel then and where it was going to take him. This is a brief insight into the adolescence of Boeing, its 40 year long haul, and the millennium addition.
