The Manhattan Project, the mission for the United States, UK, and Canada to create the first atomic bomb during World War II can be considered a major triumph in the history of warfare. The development and eventual dropping of the first nuclear weapon will continually be considered an extremely controversial act. The production of the atomic bomb was extremely beneficial towards the economy of the U.S. at the time. However, the incident at Hiroshima and Nagasaki killed hundreds of thousands of civilians and changed the history of war forever. The Manhattan Project was a great success regarding the engineering, industry, and technological aspects of the United States. It is clearly evident that the Manhattan Project was enormously beneficial towards the citizens of this nation. Over thirty different sites across the nation were created in order to provide scientists with the needed materials and space to help create the atomic bomb. Research and production sites in states including New Mexico and Tennessee helped employ over 130,000 citizens throughout the mid ......
