Extended dissertation proposal by On the effect of the War on terror on British Muslims INTRODUCTION: Terror and terrorism has been discussed very often in the last decades, but since the terrorist attacks in New York and Pentagon the issue has become an every day agenda. Innocent Muslims in Britain are cut across with war in Iraq and the resulting attack in London on the 7th July 2005. Animosity and humiliation has made it difficult for British Muslims to be proud of what they are and what the stands for. The British policy makers and intellectuals, Muslim communities and states are beginning to draw the analogue between the cold war and the current war on terror. While the cold war was in the battlefield and peoples mind so is the current war on terror is being forth in target states called front line states and those in peoples mind as state grown and sponsor of terrorists.
