My Visit to Alder Planetarium In a project assignment, I had my recent visit to �The Alder planetarium.� I was excited since it was my first visit to the planetarium. In class, we introduced to new subject matters, topic, and curriculum; this project was as interesting as rest of all. I learned about the history of the planetarium, subject matters and explored the world beyond the skies. The resources available in the premises and friendly people were evitable. I was fascinated to know how our earth lies in millions and zillions of the planets in the universe. As a matter of fact, The Alder Planetarium and Astronomy Museum was, the first planetarium built in the western hemisphere and is oldest in existence. It was founded and built in 1930 by Max Alder, who was a philanthropist in assistance of the first director of the planetarium, Phillip Fox. I also found that it was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987.
