Imagine being born into a broken home, a disfigured family, and losing the battle of life before you take your first breath. Your mother, forced to abandon you at the age of 3 months so she can create a source of income. Looking her in the eyes at the age of seven and not really know who stands before you. The idea alone is terrifying. It sounds like something you read about in another country, but here in America our youth are living in the poorest of conditions. Parents are now ranging from the young age of 13 and up. Growing up in poverty-stricken regions, these youth are not properly educated in school systems that still teach out of books their grandparents used.
