It has been one of the first countries to make civil rights the most important, and respected factor in its society. A privilege in this country that wouldn’t have been a reality without Rosa Parks; her accomplishments in life, show us what just one person can do to work toward fairness and justice in this world. To change the ways of the world courage is needed, along with confidence and faith. Rosa Parks had them all; she showed the nation what a brave heart and strong faith can accomplish accompanied by a love for her people and outrage at their mistreatment in this country. As a girl growing up in Montgomery, Alabama, Rosa was aware of her lowly status as an African American. In her time, African Americans were treated extremely poorly even thought they were not slaves anymore as before.
