�The Wave�, a novel by Morton Rue and the motion picture �Life is Beautiful, a movie written and directed by Roberto Benigni are both based around Nazism. �To strive, to seek, to find and not to yield� is a famous quote by Lord Alfred Tennyson which means to not give up, believe in yourself and pursue your dreams. This quote is appropriate in both the book and the movie. In the movie Guido longs for his family to leave the harsh concentration camps that in which the Jews are forced to live. Not once does he succumb to the Nazis and everything he does is for his family. In the novel, Ben sets up an experiment which gets out of control. Laurie Sanders a pupil, sticks to her beliefs and takes no part in �The Wave�. Eventually order is placed back in the school. History plays a part in human survival where the characters �Strive, seek find and don�t yield�. The reader, in movie makes an emotional connection to the text.
