During World War II, the Jewish community had more than bombs and stray missal fire to worry about; they had their lives at stake. European Jews were captivated by fear of the Germans and Nazi Party members� actions. Many Germans looked away from the violent acts, as if they never happened. Others took part in the killing of over 11 million people, simply because they did not fit a certain mold thought of by one individual. Oskar Schindler, however, did not. Oskar Schindler was a business man, born as a Suduten-German. He ran factories and hired as few people as possible, while paying them almost nothing, for he was that selfish. When he relocated to the Krakow ghetto, near Poland, he needed to start a new business; that�s how he met Itzach Stern. That�s where the real story begins. Stern, during the war, was a Jewish accountant. He met Schindler at a black market, where the discussed ideas for his business. Oskar proposed hiring Polish citizens because they would work for relatively no money, while Stern came up with hiring Jewish people because they would work ......
