There are many examples of violence and death in Lord of the Flies. To begin with “Kill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood!" This quote signifies the death of Simon. The boys were all in their tribal world when Simon was going to tell them who the beast really was and the boys overreacted. The boys were already in their attack mind set, Simon didn’t have a chance. This shows violence because the boys brutally attacked Simon and didn’t stop when they realized what they were doing. This quote also symbolizes death because Simon was killed. Another quote stated You should stick a pig," " You could cut a pig's throat to let the blood out, "This quote represents violence. This is because its explaining how to kill and cut open a pig to let it bleed out. One quote states "Boys armed with sticks" It supports the idea of Violence. The boys are armed with sticks and ready to hunt for their food. The last quote states ... “Here struck down by the heat, the sow fell and the hunters hurled themselves at her. This dreadful eruption from an unknown world made her frantic; she squeale......
