The importance and influence of Prophet Muhammad is undoubted. He was the founder and leader of Islam and the Muslims and his mission was to restore the corrupted faiths of the time of Jahilliyah by spreading the divine message. However, his solitary role as a messenger of God had evolved throughout his prophethood life, especially during the Medinan period after the Hijra. The only discrepancy would be whether these roles he would assume should have been expected or foreseen. This was suggested by a verse in the Quran itself, "The duty of the messenger is ONLY to convey (the message)" . It is crucial to know and understand about the Hijra from Mecca to Medina in AD 622. In both cities, he received revelations of different contexts, commenting on that current situation.
The first revelation came to him in AD 610 while he lived in Mecca and at first he was unclear about their meaning. Then he gradually takes on his role of warner and messenger. The trend in the early Makkan surahs was Muhammad warning people of the imminent doom in the fires of hell but also the joys of Paradise. H......
