Abstract The purpose of this paper is to improve our understanding to what a forensic psychologist is, review their role in the psychological field, the specific services they provide, their organizational settings, employment opportunities and the pathway to becoming one. The empirical article describes several roles and job descriptions that a forensic psychologist has to perform. The article an audit of 12-months done on forensic psychologist at work, the results suggest ways of improving the service structure to enhance the efficiency of forensic psychologist. This report gives a detailed description of the pre-requisites, job scope, services provided and registration procedures to becoming a forensic psychologist in Australia.
