As hit series such as Friends, Frasier, Sex in the City and numerous others that seem to be the end of decades of television comedy. While flipping through the television guide instead of the usual weekly sitcom line-up - virtually every media network has jumped on the reality band-wagon and is offering their slice of “reality” for the American public’s pleasure. With this seemingly never-ending slue of new “reality” shows to choose from, what does that mean for the American public? Parents could sleep easy at night knowing their children had just been witnessing the family values of The Cleaver family or The Brady Bunch. Through the delicately written scripts children were learning community standards, the importance of family, respect for all individuals, and the importance of good friendship.
