Abstract The purpose of this paper is to examine the possibility of Kudler Fine Foods purchasing produce from local organic farmers. First, a brief assessment of the company�s current business process will be presented to determine the effects the �organic� change will have on its purchasing. Second, the document will discuss the consequences such a change will bring to the existing supply chain, especially considering the shelf- life and seasonality of organic produce. Third, several quality control tools will be reviewed to assess which method Kudler should implement to insure optimum outcome of the introduced transformation. Finally, established performance standards will be set for employees and suppliers to assure minimal losses and the highest quality of products obtained.
