A close friend, relative or even a friends friend? All of you have at least at some point lost someone they love or even just know to cancer. You all know someone that has been diagnosed with cancer or has been killed by cancer. II. (Focus on propostion statement) Stem cell research might be the cure to cancer. III. (Connect with audience) The American cancer society estimates that 564,830 people will die of cancer. These days people in the U.S are dying of heart disease, cancer, stroke, alzheimer�s disease, diabetes and even suicide. Most of these diseases require some form of transplant. Now, imagine a world where transplants could be done without the sacrifice of another person losing an organ. This world exists only within the boundaries of stem cell research.
