In To Sir, with Love, E. R. Braithwaite tells the story of his first year of teaching at a rough school in a working-class neighborhood of London�s East End. This is book is really inspiring insomuch that you can hardly discern that it�s fiction. As you read this book it becomes more than a fiction novel as you turn the page you find your self becoming part of the story, seeing what Edward saw and saying what he said. Once you�ve read just a sentence you can�t put the book down your imagination takes over. I learned from this book it doesn�t matter where you came or what you look like now but its where you going. This book proves that there is still compassion in this world. When you turn on the television all you see is violence and oppression and this book was full of that but you can make it if you put your mind to it truly I can say Edward Braithwaite is an example to us all.
