Q. Describe at least one interesting language technique in each text. Explain how each technique helped you understand the idea (or ideas) in each text. 'The Road not taken,' by Robert Frost used several interesting language techniques such as metaphors and repitition to help the reader understand the ideas in the text. The extended metaphor about two diverging roads really helped me understand the main idea, while repitition used in this poem was an interesting language technique and was displayed all throughout the short text. The metaphor os the two diverging roads in the beginning of the poem symbolises the idea of decisions. "Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveller, long I stood." This metaphor helped me understand the poem to a greater degree, as anyone can relate to the idea of standing at the point, unsure of which path to choose. It is also interesting, as it perfectly manifested the idea of life being a journey, and that we are travellers on that road. Another interesting language technique was Frost's use of rep......
