When you read Charge of The Light Brigade and think of the question `War is Futile` Tennyson would describe the glory of war and all the praise that will come with it, but you’ll most likely die. Whereas in `Dulce et Decorum est ` it describes the fear and the horrible things that happen during war and it’s not a game it is real men getting killed and there’s no glamour in it. In the poem I chose which is a song by Guns `n` Roses called Civil War it’s against war in the first place and there’s no reason for it and it only get’s people hurt but rich people money.
`Charge of the Light Brigade` is set in the Crimean War and describes war as terrifying and horrific. In Stanza one it starts off with Half a league, half a league, half a league onward which is repeated to stress certain ideas and points. Then it says all in the valley of death rode the six hundred. The metaphor is used there to give the poem depth saying that they’re basically walking into death and it’s a stupid idea because they’re going to die. It then says “Forward the Light brigade!” “Charge ......
