The gold medal has always been the focused pursuit of the Chinese athletes and a defining part of the Olympic .Undoubtedly the gold medal haul bring glory to the whole country and boost our national pride. However when thinking of all the sacrifices for this shiny tiny medal , I could not help wondering if it is really worthwhile. Rice is nice lets think about the price. The sacrifices made by the athletes for the gold medal are immeasurable .Most of the champions were plucked form elementary school and sent to train at those state-run elementary school regardless of their interest in sports. They grew up under huge pressure, competing with each other in order to be the strongest to survive the fierce internal competition.
