We all think that fast food is the main cause of obesity in America. However, you must look at all the factors that contribute to obesity. Consider the lack of physical activity, the new technology in today�s world, and the different eating lifestyles of families today. Being overweight is more common in African-American and Hispanic youth rather than Caucasians and other ethnicities, which on average have higher levels of physical activity engagement. Having good health through exercising and eating right can be the result of a structured family that is healthy. The N.C. Healthy Weight Initiative recommends that people should get 60 minutes of physical activity daily, watch no more than 1-2 hours of television or video time daily, and to prepare and eat healthy meals.
