Students at community colleges all around America have several problems they will encounter before and at the start of each semester. Some of the problems I have encountered are receiving my financial aid check, accessing the new computer system, and inflated prices at the bookstore. I have come up some steps that we has students can take to effectively change the process for those who follow in our footsteps. Most students that attend community colleges can not afford major college fees. They have families or just got out of high school, with limited resources. I have three children, a wife and a full time job. I cannot afford to support my family, purchase books, and pay my tuition without financial assistance. Financial aid checks are used to assist everyone, who qualifies, to buy books, pay tuition and other supplies. I feel it is up to the schools and students to advise the Federal Government that educational reform is needed. This year we had to wait a week, after school started, to receive our aid.
