HISTORY Carol is a 45 year old woman who, due to a neck injury from car accidents after heavy drinking, is permanently unemployed, and currently lives with her fianc�, a recovering alcoholic. Since Carol�s biological mother left her and her father when Carol was only four years old, Carol was raised by her father and stepmother. Sadly, throughout Carol�s life, she never had any kind of relationship with her biological mother. Carol was daddy�s little girl, and this relationship with her father resulted in her stepmother�s jealously. Whenever Carol�s stepmother had a chance, she would remind Carol that she was ugly and a whore, just like Carol�s biological mother. To add to Carol�s depressed life, Carol was sexually abused by her oldest brother when she was five years old. Fortunately, after several years of abuse, her grandmother witnessed the abuse which ended the abuse. Carol�s biological mother, father and maternal grandmother were alcoholics, and this may have stemmed from the family�s ethnic Italian background where wine was served at every meal.
