Epic poems ordinarily are exciting tales of great heroism, where heroes fight an evil force. Since we haven�t lived in the past we have to read about it. By reading these epics we can have a better understanding of how the people lived, and more importantly what they lived for. It is a luxury to be able to watch a movie of your favorite epic poem.
