Since their objective is to combine philanthropy with profitability, NTV should consider introducing new research discoveries from university research or pharma laboratories to new startup companies, and financing their early development. NTV�s strong fund-raising capabilities would help it to support start-ups as they attempt to take new research discoveries to market. Further, NTV should proceed with their strategy of a niche investment in the epilepsy market. If, as can be inferred from the pipeline, the market competition of epilepsy drugs does not rise up, NTV may broaden their investment focus much on the lines of the ProQuest expansion to the oncology area from that of prostate cancer. In conclusion, NTV should start off as a VC funding new research discoveries in their early development focusing on epilepsy drugs.
