The court seeing this case is the United States Supreme Court. The plaintiff is Respondent Pioneer HI-Bred International INC. The defendant is J.E.M. AG Supply. The plaintiff makes and sells seeds for a certain type of corn. The issue is that the petitioner, J.E. AG Supply was buying these seeds and was re-packaging them and selling them as their own. The court fell in favor with, Respondent Pioneer HI-Bred International INC. This case was about whether or not the corn seeds fell under certain patent laws. The Plant Patent act of 1930 and Plant Variet Protection Act. The court found that it did. �Pioneer sells its patented hybrid seeds under a limited label license that provides: �License is granted solely to produce grain and/or forage.� Id., at 51.
