Sex Appeal and The Happy Meal: A Look at the Marketing Tactics on Women and Children Advertisements affect our lives in every way possible. From the television to the billboards on the main roads, the marketing agencies are constantly trying to persuade us into buying their product. However, there are certain trends these marketing executives continue to use which have negative effects for women and children. For both women and children several advertisements target their sense of sex appeal. Other advertisements target the woman�s sense of vulnerability with the use of violence. For children, most advertisements target their sense of innocence and desire for toys.
