As the United States grew, not only geographically but agriculturally and economically, there were many events that brought the United States government and laws as they are today. In the novel A Different Mirror, written by Ronald Takaki, he dramatically describes many history altering events of our nation�s past. This book analyses the American history through the perspective of the minorities living in America during its development as a nation as we know to be the worlds greatest. Though Takaki�s novel he depicts different races and cultural tragedies that happened in the United States. In this paper I can only summarize some of the effects during the American Expansion that reflected on the Native American mistreatments; from the arrival of new America the white race was forming, to the present present how the past affected the Native tribes through time.
