Gangs are typically characterized by people collaborating together. There are examples of this dating all the way back to the bible, pirates and are currently very active in society and culture today. Pirates are an excellent example of gang violence in history. Pirates showed signs of group violence and plenty harsh punishments. Children of all ages have been introduced to gang activity. Parents involved in gangs introduce gang activity to their children at very early years and therefore their kids are bringing it into the younger school system. Gang violence is increasing in today�s society in areas all different types from large cities such as Chicago to small towns with less than 5000 population. Since gang activities is illegal such as killing, robbery, and drugs the punishment is prison. The prisons are highly populated with different types of gang members there for causing problems in the prisons system and sometimes the forming of new gangs. If towns and neighborhoods offered more after school activity, popular teen influences informed the youth of the danger of the gangster......
