The organizing function of management is a tremendous responsibility that directly affects the success or failure of any organization. Unfortunately, the organization I work for is not a model example of prime organization, but an example of the results of mismanagement of organizational resources! I work for an organization that has multiple divisions. I work in the Rehabilitation division, which provides a sheltered workshop for adults with developmental disabilities (DD). We are partially state-funded but we also generate revenue through jobs we procure in our community. We provide transportation to and from work for many of our clients, so we have seven 12- passenger vans, two 1 ton trucks, a suburban, a pickup, a lift van, four minivans and five cars.
