Around the world there are organizations that are in place that will help someone if they are unable to help themselves. These people are designed and trained to help in which him or her works, like fire men for example. These individuals are saving lives that might be in danger; if people could save themselves then there would be no use for them. So why should the government sit back and let some ruin their lives by using drugs. Milton Friedman writes �I believe that we have no right to use force, directly or indirectly, to prevent a fellow man from committing suicide, let alone from drinking alcohol or taking drugs (681).� He states this because his beliefs are that drug user is not hurting anyone but himself. However, the sharp addiction to drugs makes drug users a threat to themselves, their communities and their families. It comes to no surprise that drug use is very damaging to the user. Most who start on any drug gain a dependent on it. In fact 40% percent of those who started drinking at age 13 or younger developed alcohol dependence later in life (Teen Substance Abuse). The......
