Through my experiences, I knew quite a bit of information about AIDS and HIV. I also learned some new information about the deadly virus. For the longest time I thought AIDS/HIV could be transmitted by saliva. Not from kissing, but I thought that if an AIDS/HIV recipient spat into someone�s eye that the person who was spat on could have been vulnerable to the virus. Through the presentation and the movie, however, I learned otherwise. Another thing I did not know is that our pets could also carry the deadly virus. I thought that it was just an illness that was carried by primates and humans, but apparently that is not the case. Learning this information made me think about not only how many people in the world have AIDS/HIV, but also the number of people�s pets that could be carrying the virus. Another thing I did not know about AIDS/HIV is that there really is not a great chance of exposure to HIV when receiving a blood transfusion. I thought that anytime you went to the hospital and a needle was used that the chances of being exposed to the virus was incredible. Howe......
