In order for something to be considered a social problems it must meet a certain criteria. It isn�t a social problem unless it is argued by the majority of people. After being constructed as a problem it can be solved but not until people know for sure that it exist. One major social problem is abuse. Whether it be on those in a nursing home, domestic, or child abuse it is a major problem no matter what the age level. I personally believe the worst kind of abuse is that done on a child. The abuse on that of a child is defined as a social problem because it happens everyday. Everyone knows it happens, and every one knows it�s a serious problem. Not all hitting is abuse though and that�s where the line gets messed up. Most liberals feel hitting your children is out of question. On a liberal perspective no one should ever hit their kid and if it�s a last resort then never so hard or anywhere that would leave a mark.
