The world is ever expanding and changing, so it's no wonder that the way in which we produce and cultivate our crops and horticulture is changing too. Now we have discovered methods of growing plants quicker that are more productive, with higher yields. This is Ideal for farmers and horticulturists across the globe. The only issues to be faced with these methods are the ethical decisions about whether it is acceptable to change the environmental conditions, within which these plants grow. A plant's environment is specific to its species and the conditions that keep it alive are exact the way they are, otherwise it would not survive within that habitat. Such conditions like, CO2 levels, soil structure, pH, seasonal changes e.g. light, temperature and amount of water a plant receives, and inter and intra specific competitors, all of these are necessary as they keep a balance within that ecosystem. But by controlling and changing these conditions to suit our own needs surely ......
