The title of the graphic novel I have chosen to write about is titled, "Maus". Written and designed by Art Spiegelman, Maus was first published as a three page strip for, "Funny Aminals(cq)", which was published by Apex Novelties in 1972. In 1977 Spiegelman began working on his full-length version, which was published in, RAW magazine, which was a publication Spiegelman co-edited with the help of his wife Fran�oise Mouly. Pantheon Books then published "Maus", in its final form in two parts. In 1986, Volume I: "My Father Bleeds History" and Volume II: "And Here My Troubles Began" in 1991. Now the book is available in a single volume. There is also a digital format available, which is how I read the majority of this book. "Maus" is a black and white graphic novel; the only color that is included is on the cover and a few pages before and after the novel. The page count of the combined form is 295.
