Although they did not bring large amounts of: ammunition, tanks or aeroplanes, they brought hope, hope of an end to the brutal war. However this scared the German troops because they were already starving and dying so the thought of America joining the war frightened them into starting the German offensive in 1918. The Americans had remained neutral up until their decision to join in 1917. They had been supplying both sides with shells and guns. A......
