As author Christopher Paolini progresses through his fantasy epic trio, the air of his tales change from a dark and sinister feel to a much more light and heroic tone. The darkest book within his trio is the first book, Eragon. It contains the most heartbreak, danger, and battle. Paolini's second book, Eldest, has a very balanced tone having its fair share of sadness and uplifting moments. Brisngr, the third book, is the brighter and heroic book in Paolini's epic.
